President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo announced that June 30 will be a non-working holiday so that every Filipino will witness the inauguration of the 15th President of the Republic of the Philippines Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

VP-elect Jejomar Binay will follow an oath after the president.

Expect the inauguration to be star-studded. Most especially, Aquino will fetch Arroyo to attend the event.
A cabinet meeting will happen in the Malaca?ang Palace. There will also be a street party at the Quezon City Memorial Circle that night.

The inauguration of P-Noy will be held at the Quirino Grandstand on Wednesday. Director General Jesus Versoza, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) declared that no-fly zone will be implemented during the event. In addition, seacraft will not be allowed to sail in the nearby Manila Bay. As set to the measures, there is a high police alert status starting yesterday in preparation for the historical event.

Meanwhile, expected announcements of who’s who on his cabinet members will be a day prior to the inauguration.
