DOH warns Public on Fake Flu Vaccines
0BFAD director Nazarita Tacandong warned “all drug store owners and/or their pharmacists to exercise extra diligence in buying this vaccine and any other drugs and medicine after they have a siezed a total of 4 million worth of fake flu vaccines by the NBI through a former Medical representative in San Pedro, Laguna due to unauthorizes selling of fake VAXIGRIP containing mineral water. Tacandong advised all consumers to purchase this vaccine and other drugs and medicine only from outlets duly licensed by BFAD and to demand receipts as well.
Fake Flu Vaccines, Confiscated
0Jennifer M. Cristobal, 28 year- old Medical Representative from Sampaguita Village, San Pedro, Laguna was arrested by NBI due to unauthorized selling of fake flu vaccines. The arrest happened due to complaints of Sanofi Pasteur that there were unauthorized selling of VAXIGRIP in Laguna. Over P4 million fake VAXIGRIP were seized that day as the suspect used mineral water for her fake products.
