KC Concepcion, National Ambassador of the Philippines against hunger, lead the 7,000 participants in the walk-a-thon held at Taguig City on Sunday.

“Merong mga budget siguro na maaaring hindi buong-buo napupunta sa dapat puntahan,” KC mentioned regarding the cause of hunger in our country.

The overflowing number of attendees, according to UN World Food Programme country director Stephen Anderson, showed that many people are willing and caring enough to help to the said cause.

The yearly event was our country’s version of UN World Food Programme’s “Walk the World: End Hunger” participated by 70 countries. It was started in Australia and will end in Samoa.

The event’s aim is to raise fund to help save the world from hunger.
