President GMA Appoints Buboy as Film Envoy

Actor and Singing Bee host Cesar Montano was appointed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as a Envoy for Film and Digital Cinema. He will be task to promote Philippine film and digital cinema by coordinating with the DFA, and the departments of tourism, trade and industry and other appropriate government agencies in developing strategies and activities that will enhance the appreciation of Philippine Cinema. He will also served as the spokesperson on issues of Philippine cinema among other matters related to film and digital cinema.
