No LPG Price Increase
0There is no expected increase of our commonly used Liquified Petrolelum Gas or LPG as LPGMA confirmed the said report that will take effect for the next three weeks. 11-kilogram tank of LPG price is pegged at P488. LPGMA, which is composed of independent retailers, last adjusted its prices on June 27 when it added P3 for every kilo of LPG. According to Arnel Ty, its President, there is also a possibility of a rollback if world contract prices of cooking gas will go down. However, Shell and Petron sell their LPG’s for around P550 per tank. The two oil firms jacked up LPG by P1.40 a kilo three weeks ago.
Fake Flu Vaccines, Confiscated
0Jennifer M. Cristobal, 28 year- old Medical Representative from Sampaguita Village, San Pedro, Laguna was arrested by NBI due to unauthorized selling of fake flu vaccines. The arrest happened due to complaints of Sanofi Pasteur that there were unauthorized selling of VAXIGRIP in Laguna. Over P4 million fake VAXIGRIP were seized that day as the suspect used mineral water for her fake products.
Rhian Ramos plays Jodi in Stairway to Heaven Remake
0GMA 7 has finally confirmed that Rhian Rams will be playing the role f Jodi in the Pinoy remake of Stairway to Heaven.It was first announced that Dingdong Dantes will play Cholo in the said series. They wil be joined by TJ Trinidad as Tristan and Ms. Jean Garcia as the mother of Eunice. Meanwhile, Eunice’s role is yet to be announce as soon as they have the actress to play the villain role. This will be directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal and headwriter Dode Cruz. Coming this September 7 on GMA Telebabad.
Trillanes will join Senate sessions
0A resolution was filed by the Senate to allow Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV to participate in legislative sessions through teleconferencing. According to Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri,the resolution will allow Trillanes to use video conferencing in joining Senate sessions. He also said that the latter can attend the Senate sessions if the court will allow him t do so. Zubiri also clarified that the teleconferencing will only be used on special situations and not when the senator is out of the country. The resolution will be release this August including the committee report for them to prepare the teleconferencing equipment.
Anne Curtis, Involved in an Accident
0Actress Anne Curtis had an accident early this morning which happened at the corner of Congressional and Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City. Her Porsche Cayenne hit an L-300 delivery van that got her some minor injuries.Anne came from Sarah Geronimo’s birthday party when the incident happens. She was immediately rushed to the hospital by her close friends in showbiz like Jericho Rosales and Christian Bautista. According to her handler , Anne was now sent home where she was asked to take a rest. She will be having her X-ray examinations after to know if there were fractured areas in her body.
NBI to Escort Dumlao
0National Bureau of Investigation will be sending some of its men to fly to the United Sates to fetch former police officer Glenn Dumlao, who was involved in the Dacer-Corbito double murder case in 2001. Claro de Castro Jr., chief of NBI Interpol Division, and Arnel Dalumpines, chief of Special Task Force, were the ones who will escort Dumlao back here in the Philippines. According to Justice Undersecretary Ricardo Blancaflor, Dumlao is expected to arrive this Sunday as he has already submitted his deposition in the extradition case of his co-accused, former Supt. Michael Ray Aquino. They also assured that there were no hindrance to his comeback in the country as he will give more details regarding the said murder case.
