ABS-CBN’s reality show Pilipinas Got talent revealed its 7th and 8th grand finalists.

Automatically securing a slot in the show’s finale, Singer John Micheal Narag got the highest text votes with 31.85%.

On the second and third posts are all-male dance group “Filogram” and band “Next Generation” who ranked 2nd (27.09%) and 3rd (22.04%) in nationwide text votes, respectively.

The judges, Freddie Garcia, Ai Ai delas Alas and Kris Aquino, in the end chose Filogram as PGT’s 8th grand finalists.

The PGT will be naming its last 4 finalists in the coming weeks.

Before Narag and Filogram, six finalists have already been named: Freestylers, Madrigal Siblings, B4 and Angel Canlas, Happy Feet and Jose Emmanuel “Jem” Cubil.

Charice is set to join the season finale of hit TV series Glee entitled “Nationals”.

The Pinay international pride reprises her role as Sunshine Corazon and will perform with the Vocal Adrenaline, the biggest rival of New Directions.

She will sing “As Long As You’re There.” The track is included in the album “Glee: The Music, Volume 6.”

Glee’s final episode will be in New York. Fans are so excited to know the ending scenes and songs on the nationals match of New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline. In just two weeks, we will get to know!

The America has voted for American Idol Season 10 Top 2. It’s between country teenagers Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina on the Grand Finale. They both got majority of the 95 million viewer votes.

While Hailey Reinhart, seems shocked and maybe angry, fell off the grand finals. Haley sings her awesome version of “Bennie And The Jets” as her final performance and one last song on the American Idol Stage.

After hit reality shows PBB, PDA, and Pinoy Fear factor, here comes ABS-CBN’s Biggest Loser: Pinoy Edition It is based on The Biggest Loser franchise that first became popular in the United States.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta, host of the show, announced the 12 contestants who are now part of the local version of the hit American reality show “The Biggest Loser”.

Showtime is set to end its 3rd Season on May 14, Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, Rizal as it will announce the grand winner.

The grand finalists are: “Anonymous Edition” from Rizal, “Cool Guyz” from Laguna, “Asian Pride” from Mandaluyong, “Vision 20? from Laguna, “Tribos Humanikas” from Caloocan, “Artist Youth of the Philippines” from Bulacan, “True Colors” from General Santos, “Yuri Crowd” from Bacolod, “BTLA Kids” from Caloocan, the Negros Dance Collective, and the winner from the wild card round. The winning group will 1 million pesos and another million pesos for their barangay.

Will Time Bigtime is set to replace Willing Willie.

After the Jan-Jan incident-controversy which led the TV5 show Willing Willie to suspend its airing, a new show, Wiltime Bigtime was reported to replace it. No question, Willie Revillame will still be the host of the new program. Same as the defunct show Willing Willie, it will be on the same timeslot (6:30PM weekdays, 5PM Saturday).

The premiere telecast of the said new show will be on on May 14, Saturday at 5PM.

Willing Willie was judged offensive by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) after they reviewed the Jan-Jan incident. MTRCB said that it’s Willing Willie’s responsibilty to check and scrutinize all matters of the show either live airing or taped.

Therefore, MTRCB placed Wiltime Bigtime under probation. It is required to secure a permit for each episode.

The American Idol is getting nearer to end as there are four hopefuls remaining.

Jacob Lusk was eliminated from the American Idol Top 5 which named Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, and Haley Reinhart as top four. Lusk was sent to stand with Lauren, and Haley in the bottom three. He got 60 million votes from America which took him out the show.

Expect for the upcoming tension as the American Idol Season Finale will be on May 24 and 25.

Starting February 28, the news channel of GMA Network will be aired in Channel 11. The GMA News TV is being launched by the Kapuso with the tagline “Oras-oras. Alam mo!”

They are changing the game as the only station, who received the Peabody Award for its news and current affairs, will be offering its all news channel in free television. This will be from morning to night, all in Filipino.

The trailer aired reflects the vision of the network which is to deliver the news to the people every hour of the day just because they are are looking for it wherever and whenever.

Reported on GMA’s online site, the line-up of anchors to deliver the network’s tradition, Serbisyong Totoo, are forefront reporters namely Howie Severino, Mike Enriquez, Vicky Morales, Jessica Soho, Mel Tiangco, and Arnold Clavio.

Joining them are respected journalists in the industry Kara David, Prof. Winnie Monsod, and Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) Executive Director Malou Mangahas. In addition, Sheila Coronel of Columbia University, Newsbreak’s Marites Vitug and Ed Lingao of PCIJ will be joining the channel as advisers for the investigative documentaries.

There’s something new. The documentarists of the network will do the newscasting. Actress-host Rhian Ramos will also deliver to the public the showbiz news via Spotlight.

After Charice Pempengco starred with the Glee cast on the opening episode of Glee Season 2, hit TV series in America, another Filipina is coming to the musical.

“Hazel Faith dela Cruz” had her segment filmed on November 11, Friday as she will be seen on the coming episode of Glee.

Hazel won the ETC’s Glee off to Hollywood Promo and is one of less than 10 lucky winners from around the world awarded with an all-expense paid trip to Hollywood with a walk-on role in Glee’s 2nd Season.

The said promo invited everyone to come up with a creative video of why you deserve to win an off to Hollywood prize.

In an interview, this is what Hazel said… “I told my dad I wanted to join but didn’t think I had any chance to win. He encouraged me to go ahead and join. So, I got a camera and recorded myself singing one of my original compositions entitled Can’t Comprehend. That was five days before the deadline. I submitted my video and didn’t expect much.”

Hazel is singing since her childhood and started composing songs when she was 14 years old. She is the daughter of Chay de la Cruz and Rolly Abuya, corporate marketing and events manager of Solar Entertainment, parent company of cable stations ETC and Jack TV, where the hit series is aired.

Hazel’s fellow Filipino Gleeks have more reason now to catch up the coming episodes of Glee.
