NYC to Young Facebook Users
0In light of the recent incident involving actor-director Ricky Rivero and a friend he met through Facebook, the National Youth Commission warns the youth to be more responsible and cautious in using social networking sites. “It’s very easy to be friendly and outgoing on Facebook, you lose all inhibitions, hindi ka mahiyain, and you can be a whole new different person online. But you have to be careful of the people you’re befriending; you can’t really tell a person’s character based on his or her profile page,” says Chairman Leon Flores III.

Filipino is World’s Shortest Man — Junrey Balawing
0An 18-year old Filipino is set to be named as the World’s Shortest Man this Sunday once he hits his 18th birthday.

Junrey Balawing poses for a Guinness World Records-hired photographer after a series of measurement conducted by its representative at Sindangan Health Center, Sindangan township, Zamboanga Del Norte province in Southern Philippines Saturday June 11, 2011, the eve of his 18th birthday which is coincidentally is the Philippines Independence Day.
Officials said Saturday Balawing was measured at 24 and 1/4 inches (about 61 centimeters) lying down and about two inches shorter than the current record holder Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal and is expected to be officially named as the world’s shortest living man when he turns 18 Sunday.
