Period of Nat’l Prayer for Ka Erdie Declared
0President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo already signed Presidential Proclamation 1847 announcing a Period of Nat’l Prayer for the late INC Executive Minister Eranio “Ka Erdy” Manalo who passed away last Monday due to cardiopulmonary arrest. It was also the President’s way of thanking the Executive Minister and the INC members who supported her in the 2004 elections.
Iglesia Ni Cristo Leader Passed Away
0Members of the Religious Organization Iglesia Ni Kristo are now in grief as their Executive Head, Brother Erano Manalo died from a cardiopulmonary arrest yesterday at exactly 3:53 p.m. He took over the administration of the church after the death of his father, Felix Manalo, in 1963 where he became instrumental in the propagation and expansion of the church internationally. His wake will be held at the Templo Sentral of the INC in Quezon City according to the INC spokesman Bienvenido Santiago for public viewing. We are one with our Iglesia Ni Kristo brothers and sisters in praying for his eternal repose.
First- Crowned Binibining Pilipinas Winner Dies
0Myrna Sese Panlilio, the very first winner of the Bb. Pilipinas Beauty pageant succumbs from a gall bladder disease yesterday at the Makati Medical Center in Taguig. After winning the said title, Panlilio competed at the Ms. Universe Pageant that year. She was the current officer of the Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. and Nayong Pilipino’s Executive Director. She was survived by her Husband, Dr. Ramon N. Borromeo and children, Ramon Jose, Patricia and Mitzi. Her remains lies at the Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati City. Michael Jackson’s Golden Casket
0Many of us witnessed the very emotional yet peaceful memorial service for the late Michael Jackson and we also saw where he was laid. The coffin was surrounded with red flowers as he was brought to Staples Center . The Promethean Coffin, is made of solid bronze and a 14-carat gold-plated with a hand-polished mirror finish and lined with royal blue velvet. It was ordered from Batesville Casket Company in the U.S. Trully, the casket was really fit for a King- the King of Pop, who greatly influenced our lives through his music. You will always remain in our hearts forever. May you Rest in Peace!
Susan Fernandez- Magno died at 52
0Singer and Activist Susan Fernandez- Magno succumb to cancer yesterday at the Medical City Hospital in Pasig City. She was 52. Dubbed as the ” Nigthingale”, she devoted herself by supporting the welfare of women’s advocacy through her music. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last 2008 and from that time, different cause – oriented groups supported her through series of benefit concerts. Susan was survived by her husband Alexander Magno and two children Kalayaan and Sandino. Her ashes will be at Christ the King Church in Green Meadows.
