One of Charice’s songs in her Infinity album was chosen as the English theme song of the upcoming Japanese role-playing game, Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Titled “New World,” it will serve as the game’s theme in North America and most parts of the world. Charice’s Infinity album is set to be released in Japan in October while the Final Fantasy XIII-2 game for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 is expected to hit stores on January 31, 2012.

Teen superstar Justin Bieber tied with rapper Eminem in taking home 6 trophies from the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.

Bieber’s awards included trophies for Top New Artist, Top Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Digital Media Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Streaming Song at his first-ever trip to the show. Meanwhile, veteran Eminem (who was not in Las Vegas for the show) nabbed Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Song and Top Rap Album for his smash comeback, Recovery.

Got three awards each from Billboard were Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Usher, Mumford & Sons and Cruz.

Charice is set to join the season finale of hit TV series Glee entitled “Nationals”.

The Pinay international pride reprises her role as Sunshine Corazon and will perform with the Vocal Adrenaline, the biggest rival of New Directions.

She will sing “As Long As You’re There.” The track is included in the album “Glee: The Music, Volume 6.”

Glee’s final episode will be in New York. Fans are so excited to know the ending scenes and songs on the nationals match of New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline. In just two weeks, we will get to know!

The 53rd Grammy Awards announced in Los Angeles the music’s biggest winner.

Pop singer Lady Gaga and Rapper Jay-Z won three Grammy Awards over Eminem who won one award but lead the nominations.

Eminem got 10 nominations were he was bested by Gaga, Jay-Z and jazz icon Herbie Hancock. He got the award “Best Rap Album.”

Lady Gaga garnered two awards for her song “Bad Romance” and one from her album “The Fame Monster.” While Jay-Z got a pair of awards from his duet with Alicia Keys on “Empire State of Mind.”

Meanwhile, female attraction Bruno Mars bagged the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance with his song “Just the Way You Are.”

But Justin Bieber was disappointed, not getting the “Best New Artist” which was handed to Ezperanza Spalding. But he did enjoyed the night because of his performance with Will Smith’s son Jaden and his number with Usher.

People and fans knew actress and host Anne Curtis as a frustrated singer but not anymore because she is to release her own album

Curtis said in an interview: “Magkaka-album ako. Serious ako! Oo ng sa VIVA, yes. Inupo ko ang VIVA at sinabi ko sa kanila bakit magkakaroon ng album si Vice Ganda before me. Nasa 13 years na ako sa showbiz. So, si Vic boss sabi niya, ‘Sige pagbigyan na natin siya.”

The Wowowee host said that she will sing her favorite songs to include on her dream CD. Aside from that, there will also guest singers on her debut album.

“For me kasi it’s a statement to all the singers out there na hindi nakakakanta pero passion nila ang kumanta,” she said.

Rock band Bamboo officially announced through a message in their website that their band is OVER.

After 8 years in the industry, the band decided to break up for good reasons according to Bamboo Ma?alac, leader of the group and former vocalist of Rivermaya.

“We’ve learned that this journey is not only about us but includes all who came along for the trip. Family, friends and of course front row believers who were there for the best reason of all. To simply listen. So it didn’t come easy winding down to this decision,” Ma?alac mentioned in the message.

“This is not the end,” assured Mañalac. “We move forward for all the right reasons. This is not a sad day. Music will forever be part of our lives and I couldn’t imagine us simply walking away. Not possible. All I see are possibilities.”

The band started in 2002 and put it down in the opening of 2011 after establishing a career in the industry and releasing 4 major successful albums: As the Music Plays (2004), Light Peace Love (2005), We Stand Alone Together (2007), and Tomorrow Becomes Yesterday (2009). They also received different awards from AWIT Awards, NU107 Rock Awards, and MTV Pilipinas 2004.

At the end of his message, he thanked all their supporters, the brave producers who trusted the group according to him, and their business partners especially music distributors EMI and PolyEast Records.
