For Panday 2, The animation of the previous installment of the movie looks good already and lets hope it will continue to improve.

The movie No Other Woman reportedly gross 15 million pesos on its opening day last Wednesday, September 28, 2011.

On its 5th day (October 2) of showing, the Star Cinema-Viva Film co-production was able to reach the 100 million peso mark in gross income. The figure was released by Star AdProm director Roxy Liquigan. The said movie is topbilled by Cristine Reyes, Anne Curtis, and Derek Ramsay.

Regal Films distributed commercially an indie film entitled “Ligo Na U, Lapit na Me.”

It is topbilled by Edgar Allan Guzman and Mercedes Cabral. Members of its cast include Luis Alandy, Lucky Mercado, Shalala, Ching Danseco, Francine Prieto, and Bobby Yan. It is directed by Erick Salud and premieres in theaters starting September 28, 2011.

“My Househusband: Ikaw Na!” is an upcoming light family comedy movie under OctoArts Films and is an official entry to the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival.

It is topbilled by Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos. Members of its cast include Francine Prieto, Bobby Andrews, Shalala, and many more. It is written and directed by Jose Javier Reyes.

Topbilled by Vice Ganda, Private Benjamin is an upcoming action comedy movie, which is co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films.

Members of its cast include Derek Ramsay, Jimmy Santos, Kean Cipriano, Xian Lim, Vandolph Quizon, DJ Durano, Nikki Valdez, and Frances Martines. It is directed by Wenn Deramas and premieres in theaters on October 12, 2011.

The Film Academy of the Philippines has reportedly selected the indie movie, “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” as the Philippines’ official entry for the Best Foreign Film Category in the upcoming Oscars 2012 or the 84th Academy Awards.

“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” is top billed by Eugene Domingo. It chronicles a day in the life of three ambitious, passionate but misguided filmmakers as they set out to do a quick pre-prod at Starbucks, a courtesy call to their lead actress, Eugene Domingo, and an ocular inspection of their film’s major location, the Payatas dumpsite.

Other movies that were considered were “Ikaw Ang Pag-Ibig,” “Thelma,” “Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington,” “Rosario,” “Senior Year,” “Presa,” and “Dalaw.”

The fate of Domingo’s movie on whether it will be included in the list of Oscar nominees that will be read during the awards night in February 2012 will be known on January 24, 2012.

The “Cosplay Queen” of the Philippines Alodia Gosiengfiao will be part of the cast of an international movie titled “Cosplay Nation.”

It also stars Linda Le and Cheng Yi. It is a movie that captures the essence of the phenomenon Cosplay craze. Cosplay Nation is produced by Yian Studios, Beijing, internationally distributed by the China Film Group Corp, and directed by Roy Chin. The first leg of this movie’s shooting was held last June 18-19 at the SM Megatrade Hall 3 during the 10th Philippine ToyCon (2011).
