“Happy, Yipee, Yehey” is the newest noontime show of ABS-CBN.

Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Mariel Rodriguez and Toni Gonzaga will be joined by beaty queen turned comedienne Bianca Manalo, PBB Grand winner Melai Cantiveros, internet star Jobert and Bentong in a noontime full of games, gimmicks, prizes and laughter.

The pilot episode will be aired on February 12 live at the Ynares Sports Center.

ABS-CBN filed a copyright case against its former talent, Willie Revillame, his production outfit (WilProductions, Inc.), and TV5, before the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC).

For imitating ABS-CBN’s crashed noontime show Wowowee, a P127-M copyright case is to defend by Willie and others.

On its second day of hearing, ABS-CBN presented a video presentation served as evidence on the similarities of
Wowowee and Willing Willie. The two shows were put in a split screen to show that the “look and feel” of the two shows are the same.

ABS-CBN’s witness Alou Almaden pointed out similarities of the segments of “Willing Willie” with “Wowowee through a narration before each video clip that was presented.

Some of the copycats pointed out were the use of a DJ [disc jockey] at the beginning of the show, similar circular production stage, the introduction of Willie as he enters the stage, and the segment with dancer “Congratulations.
“Ang ipinaglalaban ng ABS-CBN dito ay ang kabuoang programa na pinagbuhusan nila ng panahon, pera at isip, na alam naman po nating lahat na parehong-pareho po ng Willing Willy,” she said.

TV5 defended that concepts, ideas and themes are not against intellectual property rights, and therefore, there is no basis for the copyright infringement case.

Moreover, Revillame’s lawyers also defended their motion to inhibit Judge Villarosa, and presented evidence that he has connections to the CVC Law (Villaraza, Cruz, Marcelo & Angangco) firm, the firm which represents ABS-CBN.
The hearing did not take long because of parties’ other commitments.

Hearing will resume on Tuesday.

Popular noontime show Wowowee is set to replace by a new game show led by Kris Aquino.

Starting July 31, “Pilipinas Win na Win” will be the latest noontime show of ABS-CBN. Robin Padilla will join Kris Aquino in hosting the show together with “Wowowee” female hosts Pokwang, Valerie Concepcion and Mariel Rodriguez.

Aquino is very excited to come back on television after she quit on her talkshows “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” and “The Buzz”. She returned last Friday from her vacation in United States.

On the other hand, the mentioned Wowowee hosts are surprised on this announcement of their network.

“It is a game and variety show that will surely bring joy, energy and hope to Filipinos all over the world,” said Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications.

It will be aired after “Showtime”. ‘Pilipinas Win na Win’ will be managed by director Johnny Manahan and creative director Bobot Mortiz.

Meanwhile, former Wowowee host Willie Revillame who is still on leave was informed by the changes and will be having his new show under the network.

In the eve of Noynoy Aquino’s apparent ascendancy to the Philippine presidency, a new controversy is brewing and this time, it’s about the younger sister, Kris Aquino, is the subject of an online attack.

A Facebook Page entitled “Kris Aquino Despedida” is amassing a growing number of fans or followers:

According to the group’s info page, Kris Aquino promised to leave the country if her brother wins. “If Noynoy does win and I’m a cause of stress for him and his presidency, I’ll gladly take my two boys and live anywhere there is TFC overseas,” the group quoted Kris as saying.

Kris made the statement in the heat of an altercation with Ruffa Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama two months ago. Annabelle, a sharp-tongued talent manager and the matriarch of the Gutierrez clan, said that Kris will be “more arrogant” if Sen. Noynoy Aquino becomes President.
