Swine Flu Virus can Penetrate Lungs
0According to a health study in Paris, Swine flu virus can infect cells deeper in the lungs than seasonal flu as it boost the severity of the illness. Study shows first laboratory corroboration of reports from front-line doctors that some patients with A(H1N1) virus suffer worse symptoms compared to those with run-of-the-mill seasonal flu.The virus penetrate cells by attaching themselves to molecules called receptors, located on the outside of the cell wall. Once inside, the virus uses the cell’s machinery to replicate, eventually bursting the cell and going on to attack others. The strains can be found in the nose, throat and upper airway, producing some of influenza’s signature symptoms like runny nose, scratchy throat, and dry cough. Prevention is better than cure, so we have to make our immune system strong by taking a lot of vitamins, a proper exercise and adequate sleep.
