0Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap banned the importation of poultry products from Czech Republic and Japan because of bird flu threats.The ban covers domestic and wild birds, poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs and semen.This was to avoid the spread of bird flu virus in RP.

0Members of the Philippine National Police can now get their id’s through mail.This is to lessen the burden and time of the policemen assigned in the provincial areas to get their ID’s at the Camp Crame.This action is part of the reforms in PNP and endorsed by Chief Supt. Abner D. Cabalquinto.

0The Pag-Ibig fund will make available by 85 billion in loans this year, much higher than last year,ranging up to 20%.The Pag-ibig OIC Jaime Fabiana said that he expect increased demand for cheap housing loans this year and that is why they have decided to lend more.

“Unemployment Insurance” from SSS?
0NEDA Chief Ralph Recto suggested the cabinet to give “unemployment insurance ” for SSS members who were greatly affected by the financial crisis.The said insurance will give P10,000 allocation for 6 months. And for now, they were still finalizing the mechanics to lessen the burden of the private sector workers.
