Opening of Classes in College Level is on June 8
0Comission on Higher Education chairman Emmanuel Angeles said, June 8 will be the opening of classes in Colleges. A total number of 952,180 students is expected to attend classes in state universities and colleges, and 1,720,831 students in private higher education institutions. Ched is also coordinating with organizations like the Philippine National Police and Local Government Units to assist the students by providing Police visibility and traffic control to avoid hassles in the opening of classes.
BFP’s Inspection on School and Dormitories
0Bureau of Fire Protection chief Rolando Bandilla conducted an inspection in school and dormitories for the upcoming school year this June 1.This is to ensure the safety of the students and made them ready in case of emergencies. They will also inspect if these buildings have fire extinguishers and fire exit just in case a fire alarmed.
Good News for Student Commuters

Juan Edgardo Angara,propose his House Bill (HB) No. 147 that gives 20% fare discount for all the student commuters of buses and jeepneys.Through this proposal they will benefit all throughoput their school year and even in holidays and weekends.transport groups warmly welcomed the pronouncement of Congressman Angara and said the good proposal would be scrutinized and evaluated carefully because the issue would effect national interest.For now,students are enjoying a 20% discount on their Monday-Friday fare from June to March.

0DepEd issued Memorandum No. 206 of 2009 directing school officials across the country to conduct an information drive on the nature and prevention of the the H1N1 virus.This acts will disseminate information on the nature, transmission, signs and symptoms, prevention and control of the disease.They want to implement this measures on June 1, the start of the opening of classes.
