Akon’s Manila Concert, Rescheduled Again
0Akon’s July 4 concert at the Araneta Coliseum has been rescheduled again because of some unforeseen events. Akon also appeared via video message in Showbiz News Ngayon last night to extend his sincere apologies for the delay of the said event. He also assured the public that their tickets would still be honored this October 23, the scheduled date of the concert and that the postponement could not be helped. He will put on a great show for everyone this October. He will be joined by Billy Crawford on that concert. It is produced by ALV Events International.
Cinema One Originals Presents “Dose”
0Cinema One Originals presents ” Dose “, a movie that stars Yul Servo and Fritz Chavez. It tackles the story o a young boy who will have an unusual romance with a lonely gardener that was ahead of his age. It was written by the award-winning screenwriter Senedy Que. Other casts includes Irma Adlawan and indie Actor Ray-an Dulay. It was rated “R” by the MTRCB and will be screened in Robinsons Cinemas starting July 1-7. Diether Ocampo, Hospitalized
0Actor Diether Ocampo collapsed and suffered seizures while having their rehearsals in preparation for their Star Magic U.S. Concert Tour. According to Mr. Johnny Manahan, Star Magic Head, Diether was rushed to the hospital and was given a proper medication and now in a stable condition and is now out of danger. Inspite of that, the Concert was very successful as it was watched by more than 9,000 of our kababayans abroad. They also gave a last minute tribute for the late King of Pop Michael Jackson that was included in the concert.

Astroboy the Movie , In Theaters this October
0David Bowers, a British Director will remake the animated film this year. The legendary Japanese Anime Superhero Astroboy was created by Osamu Tezuka also known as the “God of Anime ” during the 1960’s. Meanwhile, Luis Grane, its character designer, the one behind the successful movies Spiderman 2, “The Matrix” and “Ratatouille” made his part to made this upcoming film possible. It will recount the beginnings of the boy robot with human feelings who undertakes a journey in search of his identity before returning to futuristic Metro City to reconcile with his estranged creator,Tenma, a genius scientist. Freddie Highmore,a 17 year-old boy from the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” will give life to Astro Boy’s character as its voice. Other cast includes Nicholas Cage as Tenma, Kirsten Bell as Cora, Nathan Lane as Ham Egg, and Donald Sutherland as General Stone.
