Here are the winners of the Miss World Philippines 2011 beauty pageant held last night at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City:

Gwendolyn Ruais – Miss World Philippines 2011
Helen Nicolette Henson – 1st Princess
Martha Chloe McCully – 2nd Princess
Ma. Paula Bianca Paz – 3rd Princess
Jaysel Arrozal – 4th Princess

Gwendolyn will represent the Philippines in the upcoming 61st Miss World (2011) pageant, which will be held on November 6, 2011 in London.

Oprah Winfrey’s camp denied that the USA’s Queen of Talk say that Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup should have crown as Miss Universe 2011.

It can be remembered that Oprah Winfrey allegedly issued a statement hours after the announcement of the winners of the Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant.

The alleged statement says: “I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point.”

But one of the moderators of Oprah’s official website said, “There is no truth to the statement. Ms. Winfrey has not made any comments of this nature.” Shamcey placed 3rd-runner-up in the pageant.

If Oprah Winfrey would decide, our very own Miss Philippines, Shamcey Supsup should have won the Miss universe 2011 title yesterday. This, she admits in NBC news by saying:

Judge Vivica Fox: “Would you change your Religious beliefs to marry the person you love? Why or Why not?”

Shamcey Supsup: “If I had to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love because the first person that I love is God who created me and I have my faith and my principles and this is what makes me who I am. And if that person loves me, he should love my God too.”

24-year-old Athena Imperial of Casiguran, Aurora was crowned Miss Philippines-Earth 2011 during the coronation night held last night, June 5, Puerto Princesa City Coliseum.

Imperial is a Communications Research graduate of the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She was a Top 10 finalist of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2009, a high school valedictorian, and a former production staff and researcher in an investigative show on GMA 7. As the current Miss Philippines-Earth, she will serve as the Ambassador to environmental protection campaigns in the country.
